Biography

Rhonda Roberts and Sherita Perez have joined forces in the spirit of cooperative creativity. Little Spear is a duo--a band, but it's so much more. It is an equal partnership of two equally talented and amazing young ladies.

Together, as Little Spear, we have aimed over a decade's worth of multi-faceted song-craft and performance from our independent struggles as solo singer-songwriters at a unique, superbly crafted, poignant, fun, and engaging sound that we are sure will pierce even the toughest hide! Our ambition ranges over many styles - paying homage to such disparate influences as Fleetwood Mac, Björk, Brasil '66, and They Might Be Giants and focusing them into a cohesive amalgam. We are happy to spearhead indie pop that incorporates world ethnomusicology and its influence on the various genres which America has produced: jazz, folk, blues, Hawaiian, Broadway, torch songs, hip-hop, country and western. What we offer is a perfect blend of two distinct but complementary female voices operating in the Gulf Coast region.
